Semiya Kheer (Payasam) Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of vermicelli semiya
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 Tablespoon of ghee
- 1/2 Tablespoon of cardamom powder
- Cashew nuts-6
- Almonds-6
- kismis-6
- 1/2 cup of sugar( as per your taste)
Procedure:
- Heat the ghee in a pan over medium flame.
- Add cashew nuts, almonds and kismis and fry till gold brown. Remove from pan, keep aside.
- In the same pan, toast the vermicelli semiya till a light brown shade. Remove from pan and keep aside.
- Now add milk in the same pan and boil it for 5minutes
- Add semiya and let it cook completely.Until the milk is slightly thickened.
- Then add sugar and cardamom powder over medium heat and cook it for 3minutes
- Finally add cashew nuts, almonds and kismis and switch off the stove.
- It taste good in both warm and chilled.
