Semiya Kheer

Semiya Kheer (Payasam) Recipe



Ingredients:
  1. 1 cup of vermicelli semiya
  2. 2 cups of milk
  3. 2 Tablespoon of ghee
  4. 1/2 Tablespoon of cardamom powder
  5. Cashew nuts-6
  6. Almonds-6
  7. kismis-6
  8. 1/2 cup of sugar( as per your taste)
Procedure:

  • Heat the ghee in a pan over medium flame.
  • Add cashew nuts, almonds and kismis and fry till gold brown. Remove from pan, keep aside.
  • In the same pan, toast the vermicelli semiya till a light brown shade. Remove from pan and keep aside.
  • Now add milk in the same pan and boil it for 5minutes
  • Add semiya and let it cook completely.Until the milk is slightly thickened.
  • Then add sugar and cardamom powder over medium heat and cook it for 3minutes
  • Finally add cashew nuts, almonds and kismis and switch off the stove.
  • It taste good in both warm and chilled.
